I would really like your comments on this one. Spain went back to work yesterday, or rather most of Spain did. However amid the complaints about the difficulty in starting up many of those who are not starting up are sitting on their hands

When you move to Spain you must bear in mind the effect it has on your family. The first thing that crops up is usually the three generation conundrum, ie how will the Grandparents and Grandchildren react when one of them moves to Spain. It can be extremely traumatic for the family even in these days of video conferencing by Skype and Facetime on the iPhone 4. Is there an airport nearby with cheap flights and has your house got extra space for the frequent visits?

Are you coming to Spain for the right reasons or are you running away from something? Remember that you have a much higher chance of surviving Spain and thriving here if you are here because you want to be not because you don’t want to be elsewhere.

If you have problems in your marriage then moving to Spain is not the answer. Things just get amplified as you are thrown together even more.
